Shooting Brittany Odelhoff

Shooting Brittany Oldehoff was a terrific experience in Miami Beach.  Art Direction by Jarmo; MUA by Mary Alejo.

Shot in ambient reflected light using two large, 4′x8′, white reflectors camera right and camera left, with the model in the shade against a white wall.  The camera was about 6″ off of the floor level.  This will give your the model even longer looking legs.

Managing the Sun using Silks and Reflectors

Using Bounced Ambient

Here is an image that was taken using bounced sunlight.  The model was facing outside the exterior door just inside the room. Natural sunlight was bouncing onto her face.  a white reflector was placed to camera left to give a soft edge and create a highlight along the dress. f 3.5 , ISO100, 1/125.

Controlling Harsh Sunlight

Here is an example of controlling harsh sunlight.

Brenda was placed in the door way of an exterior entry way into the bedroom.  The sun was high in the sky and very unflattering.  A 8′x8′ silk was placed over her head to cut down the intensity of the sun.  A beauty dish was our main light set at f4  1/250 iso 50.
